Sustainable Electric Energy Delivery System (SEEDS)
Our SEEDS partnership with the University of South Florida’s (USF) Power Center for Utility Explorations installed two solar arrays: one on the USF St. Petersburg campus, and the other in Albert Whitted Park in St. Petersburg. The output of these solar arrays is stored in lithium-ion battery systems and applied during the system peak load. This way, the stored solar energy can be delivered during the highest consumer demand – not just when provided from the sun.
