Duke Energy Carolinas Standard Purchase Offer for Renewable Energy Certificates ("RECs")
Note: Duke Energy Carolinas does not have a requirement to purchase Renewable Energy Certificates (“RECs”) in South Carolina at this time. However, projects connected to the Company’s grid in South Carolina may be able to supply RECs for use in meeting the Company’s North Carolina RECs requirements.
Duke Energy Carolinas has established a standard purchase offer for Renewable Energy Certificates ("RECs") to assist the Company with meeting its North Carolina Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Portfolio Standard (“NC REPS”) requirements. Projects that are not eligible for Duke Energy Carolina’s standard purchased power rates or standard purchase offer for RECs are invited to submit a renewable energy proposal to the Company. We accept “unsolicited” proposals for renewable energy and/or RECs.
