Duke Energy supports critically needed health and human services organizations each year by raising funds for the United Way. Every year, with the help of Duke Energy employees and retirees, Duke Energy provides significant financial contributions to United Way organizations across the country through its United Way campaign.
United Way organizations deliver real life-changing results to our neighbors. That is why we partner with them—to help ensure that our contributions help create a lasting community change. Supporting the United Way aligns with Duke Energy’s tradition of corporate responsibility and community involvement while helping build and nurture the communities where we live and work.
A Duke Energy representative currently serves on the United Way of America’s National Corporate Leadership Advisory Council, a forum of national companies sharing best practices in federated campaigns, volunteerism and community service.
At local levels, many of our employees serve on United Way boards and committees helping to monitor, evaluate and improve the organizations’ effectiveness. Throughout the year, Duke Energy volunteers initiate and participate in hands-on projects helping United Way agency members throughout the U.S.
