United Way of America
United Way organizations deliver real life-changing results to our neighbors, providing critical health and human services for the communities we serve. Duke Energy leads a United Way campaign each year to support these efforts. With the help of employee and retiree contributions, the company makes significant financial contributions to United Way organizations across the country.
The Business Committee for the Arts named Duke Energy as one of the top 10 companies in the country for arts contributions
Cultural Arts
Duke Energy continually supports arts initiatives that are critical to the economic prosperity and cultural diversity of our regions. The company supports the Arts Fund (Cincinnati) and Arts and Science Council Campaign (Charlotte). Each raises critical dollars to support hundreds of arts organizations in our service areas.
Our efforts earned recognition in 2009 from the Business Committee for the Arts (BCA), which named Duke Energy one of the top 10 companies in the country for exceptional involvement in the arts.
Disaster Relief
When disaster strikes, the American Red Cross is a front-line agency for helping our communities recover. The Duke Energy Foundation gave hundreds of thousands of dollars to the American Red Cross for recent relief efforts. In addition, Duke Energy regularly supports employee blood drives throughout our regions.
