Project Highlights

• The Silver Sage Windpower Project is located in Laramie County, Wyoming
• The facility generates 42 megawatts of electricity, enough to power approximately 14,000 homes
• The project began commercial operation in October 2009
• The wind farm supplies 71.5 percent (30 megawatts) of its electricity to Black Hills Corporation and 28.5 percent (12 megawatts) to Platte River Power Authority
• There are a total of 20 Suzlon wind turbines that comprise the project
• The project encompasses approximately 1,600 acres of land, and generates electricity approximately 80 percent of the time
