Cimarron II Windpower
- The Cimarron II Windpower Project is located in Gray County, Kansas
- The facility generates 131 megawatts of electricity, enough to power about 40,000 homes
- Duke Energy Renewables' net capacity is 66 megawatts, and its joint venture partner Sumitomo Corp. of America owns an equal share of the facility
- The project, operated and maintained by Duke Energy Renewables, began commercial operation in June 2012
- The wind farm supplies its electricity to Kansas City Power & Light under the terms of a 20-year agreement
- The project encompasses approximately 16,000 acres of leased farmland
- There are a total of 57 Siemens wind turbines that comprise the project
