Opportunities may exist in the following areas:
Accounting / Finance / Audit
The intent of the program is to provide all accounting interns/co-ops with the opportunity to work in various financial areas to gain broad experience and enhance their education. The common disciplines for which we recruit include, accounting, finance and audit; at both the undergraduate and graduate level.
Possible assignments may occur in the following departments:
- Corporate Accounting
- Accounts Receivable
- Tax Department
- Fixed Asset Accounting
- Internal Audit
Engineering
Employing engineering students in an intern/co-op position provides an excellent opportunity for them to “customize” their education toward potential careers at Duke Energy. At the same time, Duke Energy managers can evaluate individuals for full-time employment and place new employees into high-value positions. The disciplines within engineering that we actively recruit from include electrical, mechanical, nuclear, civil, electrical engineering technology and mechanical engineering technology.
