- Mechanical equipment – Assist with testing and plant improvement projects involving pumps, compressors, turbines, HVAC and similar equipment.
- Piping – Get exposure to projects involving high-energy water and steam piping.
- Steam generation – Receive hands-on introduction to combustion and the steam cycle through boiler and turbine performance testing.
- Nuclear – Assist in the development of design changes to mechanical plant systems and equipment requiring modification, upgrade or replacement. Provide mechanical engineering support to nuclear station work groups through modifications, testing, procedure development and configuration management.
- Electric distribution, transmission and grid operations – Participate in designing services for customers and system upgrades; perform engineering studies of system reliability, integrity, voltage and load. Participate in project management activities and service restoration efforts.
- Electrical equipment – Participate in troubleshooting and plant improvement projects involving cabling, motor control centers, power distribution, transformers and capacitors.
- Control systems – Assist with modifications and plant improvement projects involving DCS and PLC-based control systems, transmitters and interfacing field devices.
- Steam generation – Receive hands-on introduction to combustion and the steam cycle through boiler and turbine performance testing, and provide technical support for solving equipment problems.
- Nuclear – Assist in the development of design changes to electrical plant systems and equipment requiring modification, upgrade or replacement. Provide electrical engineering support to nuclear station work groups through modifications, testing, procedure development and configuration management.
- Assist in the development of design changes to nuclear plant systems and equipment requiring modification, upgrade or replacement.
- Support the reliability of assigned nuclear systems, programs and equipment.
- Civil and site work – Assist with transmission, distribution or power plant improvement projects and new construction; site grading and drainage work; pond construction; and impoundments and environmental work.
- Structural and foundation work – Help design and construct structural and foundation aspects of new and improvement projects.
- Nuclear – Assist in development of design changes to civil plant structures and equipment requiring modification, upgrade or replacement. Provide civil engineering support to nuclear station work groups through modifications, testing, procedure development and configuration management.
- Water chemistry support – Work with treatment systems used to produce high-purity water and boiler chemistry regimes for corrosion protection.
- Pollution control equipment – Participate in oversight, monitoring and technical support for equipment requiring chemical expertise.
- Environmental compliance – Learn the regulations that govern the operation of our facilities and support projects to ensure environmental compliance and stewardship.
