Vincent M. Dolan State President – Florida

Vincent Dolan is president of Duke Energy's utility operations in Florida, serving approximately 1.6 million electric retail customers in central Florida, including metropolitan St. Petersburg, Clearwater and the greater Orlando area.

Dolan has more than 25 years of experience in the energy industry and most recently served as Progress Energy Florida's president and chief executive officer. At the close of the merger between Duke Energy and Progress Energy in 2012, Dolan continued his leadership role in Florida for the merged company.

Before that, he served as vice president of external relations for Progress Energy Florida. In that role, he managed Florida regulatory affairs; public policy; community relations; economic development; commercial, industrial and governmental sales and service; state and federal public affairs; and energy policy and strategy.

Dolan has been with Duke Energy (and predecessor companies Progress Energy and Florida Power Corp.) since 1986, holding positions of increasing responsibility in operations, strategic development, customer services and regulatory affairs.

Prior to joining the company, Dolan worked for the Foster Wheeler Energy Corp., an international engineering and manufacturing firm.

Dolan has a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Rutgers University.
