Opera version 8

Enhanced security features in Opera may be blocking some features on our Web site. The most common solution is to enable JavaScript and accept cookies.

To enable JavaScript:

  1. From the Opera menu, select Tools (Mac users select Opera), then select Preferences.
  2. Click the Advanced tab.
  3. Select Content from the options in the left panel.
  4. Check the box next to Enable JavaScript.
  5. Click OK.

To accept cookies:

  1. From the Opera menu, select Tools (Mac users select Opera), then select Preferences.
  2. Click the Advanced tab.
  3. Select Cookies from the options in the left panel.
  4. Select one of the following from the Normal cookies menu:
    • Accept all cookies (skip to step 13)
    • Treat as specified in Server Manager (proceed to next step)
  5. Click the Manage Cookies button.
  6. Click the New button.
  7. Enter the following addresses, following the next steps after each:
    • www.duke-energy.com
    • www2.duke-energy.com
    • www.dukepower.com
    • www.cinergyregulatedbiz.com
  8. Uncheck the box next to Use default cookie settings.
  9. Check the box next to Accept cookies for server/domain.
  10. Click OK.
  11. Repeat from step 6 for additional addresses.
  12. Click Close.
  13. Click OK.

Retest: After updating your settings, test your browser again.

  3. Check the box next to Enable JavaScript.
  4. Click OK.

  2. Select Privacy from the options in the left panel.
  3. Check the box next to Enable cookies.
  4. Select one of the following from the Normal cookies menu:
    • Automatically accept all cookies (skip to step 13)
    • Accept only cookies from selected servers (proceed to next step)
  5. Click the Edit server filters button.
  6. Click the New button.
  7. Enter the following addresses, following the next steps after each:
    • www.duke-energy.com
    • www2.duke-energy.com
    • www.dukepower.com
    • www.cinergyregulatedbiz.com
  8. Uncheck the box next to Use default cookie settings.
  9. Check the box next to Accept cookies for server/domain.
  10. Click OK.
  11. Repeat from step 6 for additional addresses.
  12. Click Close.
  13. Click OK.
