Enhanced security features in Netscape may be blocking some features on our Web site. The most common solution is to set up Duke Energy as a trusted site.

To designate trusted sites:

  1. From the Netscape menu, select Tools, then select Options.
  2. Click the Site Controls icon.
  3. Click the Site List tab.
  4. Click the Add Site button.
  5. Enter the following addresses:
    • www.duke-energy.com
    • www2.duke-energy.com
    • www.dukepower.com
    • www.cinergyregulatedbiz.com
    Select I Trust This Site from the menu and Click Add Site after each.
  6. Click OK.

Retest: After updating your settings, test your browser again.

Netscape version 7

Enhanced security features in Netscape may be blocking some features on our Web site. The most common solution is to enable JavaScript and accept cookies.

To enable JavaScript:

  1. From the Netscape menu, select Edit (Mac users select Netscape), then select Preferences.
  2. Click the arrow next to Advanced in the Category panel to open those options and select Scripts & Plug-ins.
  3. Under the heading Enable JavaScript for, check the box next to Navigator.
  4. Click OK.

To accept cookies:

  1. From the Netscape menu, select Edit (Mac users select Netscape), then select Preferences.
  2. Click the arrow next to Privacy & Security in the Category panel to open those options and select Cookies.
  3. Click the Cookie Manager button, then click the Cookie Sites tab in the window that opens.
  4. Enter the following addresses, clicking the Allow button after each:
    • www.duke-energy.com
    • www2.duke-energy.com
    • www.dukepower.com
    • www.cinergyregulatedbiz.com
  5. Click Close.
  6. Click OK.

Retest: After updating your settings, test your browser again.
