Internet Explorer 5 Recommended Settings


For Windows Users

Internet Explorer 5 provides enhanced security features that may be blocking some features on our Web site. The most common solution is to set up Duke Energy and its associated partners as trusted sites.

To designate trusted sites:

  1. From the Internet Explorer menu, select Tools, then select Internet Options.
  2. Click the Security tab.
  3. Select Trusted Sites and then click the Sites button.
  4. Make sure to uncheck Require server verification.
  5. Enter the following addresses, clicking the Add button after each:
    • www.duke-energy.com
    • ols.duke-energy.com
    • www.energyguide.com
    • secure3.idox.net
  6. Click OK.
  7. Click OK.

Retest: After updating your settings, test your browser again.

For Macintosh Users
